Core Privacy Principle: Nuiter does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or astrological information to third parties for advertising or tracking. Your data is used exclusively to facilitate authentic, safe astrological connections.
1. Personal Data We Collect
To compute your high-precision Natal Birth Chart and compute cosmic compatibility (synastry), we collect the following information voluntarily provided by you:
- Identification and Account Data: Chosen display name, email address, salted and encrypted password, and age (strict minimum age requirement of 18).
- Astronomical Birth Data: Exact birth date, birth time (optional; solar chart calculation applied if unknown), and city/country of birth.
- Geographic Coordinates (GPS): Latitude, longitude, and historical IANA timezone used exclusively by the Swiss Ephemeris algorithm for house placement and approximate match proximity.
- Profile and Media: Up to 6 profile photographs, personal bio, gender identity, and dating preferences.
- Messaging Data: Real-time encrypted chat messages exchanged between confirmed mutual matches.
2. How We Use Your Data
We process your data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- Calculate your birth chart ephemerides (Sun, Moon, Rising, Houses, Planetary Aspects, and Elements).
- Determine zodiacal affinity scores and synastry reports in the Cosmic Radar.
- Present compatible profile cards tailored to your chosen distance radius and preference filters.
- Enable real-time messaging and push notifications for matches.
- Prevent malicious activity, spam, harassment, and policy violations.
3. Security, Storage, and Encryption Standards
Nuiter employs industry-leading security practices:
- Encryption in Transit & at Rest: All network communication is protected by TLS 1.3/HTTPS. Database records in Cloud Firestore are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
- EXIF & Metadata Stripping: Profile photos are automatically stripped of EXIF and GPS geotags on upload before storage in secured Cloud Storage buckets.
- Granular Row-Level Security (RLS): Robust server security rules guarantee that private messages and confidential astrological readings are accessible solely by authorized participants.
4. Third-Party Disclosures
We only share data with essential technical service partners:
- Other Users: Only public profile information (photos, first name, age, sun/moon/rising signs, bio, and approximate distance) is shown in the Radar. Your private email, civil surname, and birth time are never shown.
- Core Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform / Firebase (hosting, database, and authentication) and RevenueCat / Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing (subscription processing).
- Legal Obligations: In response to lawful court orders or binding regulatory requests.
5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, LGPD & CCPA)
Under international privacy regulations, you possess full enforceable rights to:
- Confirm data processing and request a copy of your personal data.
- Update or rectify inaccurate data directly in "Edit Profile".
- Revoke consent and request data portability.
6. Account & Data Deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1)
Right to Total Erasure: You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app (go to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@nuiter.app. Deletion immediately and irreversibly purges your profile, photos, chat history, and astrological charts from our servers.
7. Minor Protection (18+ Policy)
Nuiter is strictly designed for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. Any discovered minor account will be terminated and deleted immediately.
